TikTok Backstage: How to Find Creators Who Are Available to Join Your Agency
What "available to join" and Ineligible mean on TikTok Backstage, why most creators you find are already signed, where available creators show up, and why the freshness of the check decides your results.
On TikTok Backstage, a creator is available to join your agency when Backstage lets you send them an invitation; if Backstage marks them as Ineligible, they cannot be invited right now. The fastest way to find available creators is to take lists of active, earning LIVE creators (league divisions, daily and gaming rankings, league dropouts) and check each one against Backstage, as close as possible to the moment you message them. This guide explains what the status means, where available creators come from and how to keep your list fresh.
What "available to join" and Ineligible mean
Backstage is TikTok's tool for LIVE agencies. When you try to invite a creator, Backstage checks whether that creator can be added to your agency. If they can, you can send the invitation and the creator decides whether to accept. If they cannot, Backstage marks them as Ineligible.
The most common reason a creator is Ineligible is that they are already part of another agency. Backstage can also block an invitation for other reasons tied to the account. You do not need to know the exact reason to act on it: Ineligible means skip this creator for now, and available means they are worth a message.
Two details matter in practice. First, the status is not permanent. A creator who is Ineligible today may become available when they leave an agency, and an available creator can become Ineligible the moment another agency signs them. Second, availability says nothing about quality. You still need to judge whether the creator goes live regularly and earns diamonds.
Why most creators you find are already signed
If you browse LIVE and write down every creator who looks promising, you will find that most of them are Ineligible. That is not bad luck. The creators who are easiest to spot, the ones with big rooms, high league placements and steady gifts, are exactly the ones agencies have been recruiting for a long time. Many of them were signed long before you saw them.
This creates a simple problem: recruiting by eye wastes most of your effort. You spend time researching a creator, writing a message and opening Backstage, only to find the door is closed. The fix is to flip the order. Check availability first, then spend your attention on the creators who passed.
Where available creators show up
Available creators are not hidden. They are mixed into the same public lists everyone looks at. The trick is to scan those lists systematically and filter by availability.
- LIVE league divisions. League boards group creators who stream regularly and compete on score. A creator on a board is active and earning, so if they are also available, they are a strong lead. Checking every creator on a board, not just the top few, is where many available creators turn up.
- Daily rankings. A daily diamond ranking shows who earned in the last day. These creators are active right now, which makes them good targets for timely outreach.
- Gaming rankings. Gaming creators often earn well on LIVE but sit outside the lists most recruiters watch, so a larger share of them can still be available.
- League dropouts. Creators who recently fell out of a division are still streamers with an audience. A dropout can be a creator who would welcome coaching and a plan.
Each list covers a different slice of the market, so combining them gives you more available creators than any single source.
Why freshness of the check matters
Availability is a moving target. Other agencies are scanning the same boards and sending the same invitations. A creator who was available when you checked can be signed a few hours later. That is why the age of an availability check is as important as the check itself.
Think about it in time windows:
- Checked minutes ago. The status is very likely still correct. This is the moment to message.
- Checked hours ago. Usually still useful, but some creators will have been taken.
- Checked days ago. Treat it as a hint, not a fact. Recheck before you spend time on the creator.
A recruiting list without a "checked at" time is a list you cannot fully trust. Whatever method you use, keep the time of the last check next to every creator.
Checking manually vs using a data feed
You can check availability by hand. Open a board, copy each creator's handle, try them in Backstage, and note the result. For a handful of creators, this works fine and costs nothing. The limits show up quickly, though:
- It is slow, so by the time you finish a board, the first results are already aging.
- It only covers the lists you have time to open, usually one country and a few boards.
- It does not run at night, when other time zones are live and other agencies are not.
A data feed does the same work continuously. It scans LIVE, checks creators against Backstage and gives you a list of available creators with the time of each check. You then spend your time on messages and conversations instead of lookups. The right choice depends on your volume: a small agency recruiting a few creators a month can do it manually, while an agency recruiting every day across several countries usually cannot keep up without a feed.
How RnG helps you find available creators
RnG (rngrow.com) scans TikTok LIVE 24/7 per country and checks against TikTok Backstage which creators are available to join an agency. Markets include US and Canada, Latin America, MENA, UK and Ireland, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Romania, Poland and more.
- Radar dashboard. A real-time dashboard of available creators with their diamonds, plus daily and gaming rankings, league dropouts and top gifters. See plans on the pricing page. A 24-hour Day Pass is also available if you want to try a market for a day.
- LIVE Leagues. The league boards show availability for each creator in a division, so you can see at a glance who on a board can be invited.
- TikTok LIVE API. If you want the data in your own tools, the TikTok LIVE API is a REST API with endpoints for recruitable creators, league boards, rankings, gifters and live checks, with an npm SDK,
@rngrow/sdk. Full documentation is in the API docs. Radar includes API access. - Auto Messenger. A desktop app for Mac and Windows that sends recruitment messages on Backstage. In Auto mode it pulls available creators from the RnG API every 10 minutes above a diamond floor you set, skips creators Backstage tags as Ineligible, never messages anyone twice, and respects a send limit per 28 hours and your sending hours.
FAQ
What does Ineligible mean on TikTok Backstage?
It means Backstage will not let you invite that creator to your agency right now. The most common reason is that the creator already belongs to another agency.
Can an Ineligible creator become available later?
Yes. Availability changes over time, for example when a creator leaves an agency. That is why repeated, recent checks find creators that a one-time check misses.
Where should I look first for available creators?
Start with league divisions, daily rankings, gaming rankings and league dropouts, then filter each list by Backstage availability. Combining sources finds more creators than any one list.
How old can an availability check be before I recheck?
Minutes old is ideal, hours old is usually fine, and days old should be rechecked before you invest time in the creator.
