TikTok LIVE Auctions: How a Live Auction Overlay Works and How to Run One for Free

A live auction is the single most effective overlay for a gifting stream: you put something on the line, viewers bid with gifts, the clock runs down, and the last ten seconds decide it. Paid tools sell it as a Pro feature. RnGrow Stream Tools includes it free, in two modes.

Coin match

Every gift a viewer sends during the round adds to their total. The top three bidders show on screen with their totals, and the highest wins when the clock hits zero. Snipe protection: a gift in the last seconds extends the clock (you choose by how much, and how many times), so a late bid gives everyone a chance to answer. This is the mode for a prize: a shout-out, a song, a follow back, a duet, a game with you.

Throne king

One throne. A gift at or above your minimum takes it and restarts the clock. Whoever sits on the throne when the clock ends wins. Short, loud rounds, perfect for the last ten minutes of a stream.

Setting it up (five minutes)

1. Sign in at rngrow.com/tools and connect your @name; install the extension or the app so your LIVE is read. Both are on the download page.
2. Overlays: Add a widget, Live auction. Pick the mode, the seconds, the minimum bid, the snipe extension and the points for the winner. Write the prize in the title.
3. Copy the screen link into OBS (browser source) or TikTok LIVE Studio (Link source), 1920 by 1080.
4. When you are live, open Try it and press Start under Live auction. Press +30 s to extend by hand, End now to close it early.
